Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

VPlayer ("we," "us," or "our") provides a media player application that lets users play media from M3U/M3U8 playlists or provider logins they obtain from a third-party source of their own choosing. VPlayer does not provide, sell, or include any content, channels, playlists, or subscriptions. This Privacy Policy explains what information the VPlayer app handles, where it is stored, and the choices you have.

By downloading, installing, or using VPlayer, you agree to the handling of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Information We Collect

VPlayer does not collect any data. The app has no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking, and it does not create accounts. The only information it handles is what you enter, and that stays on your device:

  • Playlist & provider details — the playlist URL, server address, username, and password you add to connect to your own provider.
  • App data — your saved playlists, favorites, playback history, settings, and parental control PIN.

If you email us for support, we receive your email address and the content of your message, and use them only to reply to you.

We do not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or location, and we do not collect payment card details — subscriptions to IPTV content are arranged directly between you and your third-party provider, not through VPlayer.

3. How We Use Information

The information you enter is used on your device only to:

  • Load the playlist sources you have added to the app
  • Operate core features such as favorites, playback history, the program guide, and parental controls

We do not receive this information, use it for advertising, or sell, rent, or share it with anyone.

4. IPTV Content Sources

VPlayer is a media player client. It does not host, store, curate, or distribute any television channels, movies, or on-demand content itself. All streams are retrieved directly from the server address and credentials that you, the user, supply from your own independently-obtained IPTV subscription.

Because content is sourced entirely from your provider, we have no visibility into and no responsibility for the catalog, availability, or legality of the streams your provider makes available. See the Disclaimer section below for details.

5. Data Storage & Security

Account credentials are stored securely on-device using your platform's native secure storage (the iOS Keychain). They are sent only to the provider server you entered, and are never sent to us.

All other app data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store your data. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your device.

6. Third-Party Services

VPlayer connects to IPTV servers operated by third-party providers that you choose independently. Your use of those servers and any content accessed through them is governed by the terms and privacy practices of that third party, not by VPlayer. We encourage you to review your provider's terms before use.

VPlayer does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

7. Cookies & Tracking

VPlayer does not use cookies, analytics, advertising identifiers, or any form of tracking, and does not track you across other apps or websites.

8. Children's Privacy

VPlayer is rated for mature audiences and is not directed at children under 18. Content accessible through user-supplied IPTV providers may include material unsuitable for minors. Parental control features with PIN protection are available to restrict access to age-appropriate categories, and parents/guardians are responsible for supervising use by minors in their household. The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws (such as the GDPR in the European Economic Area or the CCPA in California), including the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data

Because the app stores your data only on your device, you stay in control of it. You can edit or remove playlists and saved logins in the app at any time. If you have emailed us, you can ask us to delete that correspondence using the details below.

10. Data Retention

App data (playlists, favorites, history, settings) remains on your device until you remove it in the app or uninstall the app. Saved logins are kept in the iOS Keychain, which iOS may keep after the app is deleted, so remove a playlist in the app first to fully delete its login. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to help you and are deleted on request.

11. Disclaimer

No content ownership or hosting. VPlayer is a third-party media player application only. It does not own, host, upload, curate, index, or distribute any television channels, movies, series, or other media content. All streams displayed in the app originate from server addresses and credentials entered by the user, obtained from IPTV providers of the user's own choosing.

No affiliation. VPlayer is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any television network, broadcaster, content owner, or IPTV provider referenced or accessible through the app.

User responsibility. It is solely the user's responsibility to ensure that their IPTV subscription and the content they access through it are lawfully licensed and comply with applicable copyright laws and regulations in their jurisdiction. VPlayer does not verify the legality of any third-party service the user connects to.

No warranty. The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to the availability, quality, legality, or continuity of any stream or content accessed through a third-party provider. We are not liable for service interruptions, content removal, or losses arising from your use of third-party IPTV services.

Copyright / DMCA. VPlayer respects the intellectual property rights of others. As we do not host content, copyright claims regarding specific streams should be directed to the operator of the IPTV service providing that stream. If you believe our app itself infringes your rights, contact us at the address below and we will investigate promptly.

Age rating. Because content availability depends entirely on the user's own provider, the app carries an 18+ rating and includes parental controls to help restrict access to mature content.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised policy on this page. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
